My Story
218 Cultivation was born in the summer of 2023, the same year Minnesota took a bold step forward by legalizing cannabis. As a passionate grower based in northern Minnesota — in the heart of the 218 area code — I saw this moment as more than just a legal shift. It was the beginning of a movement, and I wanted to be part of it.
With no formal background in agriculture, but a deep curiosity and a drive to learn, I started growing cannabis from scratch — experimenting, researching, and documenting every step of the way. I launched the 218 Cultivation YouTube channel to share that journey in real time: the wins, the mistakes, and everything in between. It quickly became more than just a hobby. It became a community.
